Workshops

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to participate in this specially designed skull base workshop. The discipline of Skull Base Surgery is now very well established. Despite the various approaches that are taught in workshops over the world, some neurosurgeons are still unsure about the indications and applications of these techniques. Indeed, the approaches that require extensive bone drilling have often been referred to as "maximally invasive" neurosurgery.

In keeping with the general principle of "minimally invasive" neurosurgery, I have gathered together a faculty of internationally renowned neurosurgeons who have practised minimally invasive ut
maximally effective surgery. They have different views on neurosurgical oncology, different approaches to midline tumours and different historical backgrounds and I am hoping this will evoke constructive debate by which we can all learn.

I have also chosen my faculty by their progressive attitudes to neurosurgery so that the course will be as contemporary as possible yet based on solid knowledge and years of experience. They are all exemplary teachers and there will be plenty of time for discussion and one-on-one tutoring.
