Dr Michael Donnellan, MBBS,FRACS Neurosurgeon.
Dr Michael Donnellan is an Australian trained Neurosurgeon, with advanced training in complex spine surgery, and minimally invasive endoscopic base of skull surgery. He completed his Medical Degree at Sydney University in 1993. He completed his Neurosurgical training in 2008 and went on to complete a Fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery at the Royal North Shore and Dalcross Hospitals.
He pursued several research interests and has helped develop several new neurosurgical techniques including Adult Stem Cell Therapy in Parkinson's disease. He has pioneered a new technique for endoscopic base of skull surgery with Dr Teo. Most recently he has published a new technique of upper cervical atlanto-axial fusion with Dr William Sears. He has contributed to International Spine text books on this subject.
Dr Donnellan has a wide range of clinical interests and performs general neurosurgical surgery as well as complex spine surgery.
