Brinda Shivalingam |
Fellow in Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery - 2003
Brinda is one of those exceptional individuals who manages to be a
talented and dedicated neurosurgeon as well as a doting mother to two
beautiful children and a loving wife. Although, Brinda came to us
relatively early in her training, she behaved like a veteran when it
came to surgical and operative decision making and overall
professionalism. Her tolerance of our sometimes chauvinistic
conversation in the operating room made her inclusion in the "team" an
easy transition.
Brinda has chosen to specialise in neuro-oncology by
taking a year to study the basic molecular structure of brain tumours
in the hope that this may eventually guide us to finding a cure for the
malignant varieties. Our hope is that one day we may coerce her to join
us at the Centre.
